Beth Shalom is a vibrant Jewish community. Many of our active members serve on the Board of Directors and or involve themselves in one of the diverse arms of the community.

Bikur Cholim

Visiting the sick is referred to in Hebrew as Bikur                                                      Cholim.  Visiting the sick is a vital part of Chesed - acts of loving kindness.

The Bikur Cholim Committee visits patients at area hospitals. Shabbat packs containing challah and grape juice are delivered on Fridays.

To volunteer, please send e-mail to bikurcholim@BethshalomNj.org. Include your name, telephone, e-mail address and times when you are available (e.g., days, evenings or weekends).

Education Committee:  The purpose Education Committee is to enables Hebrew School Staff, Rabbi and volunteers to implement their educational goals in a manner consistent with the religious philosophy and guidelines of Beth Shalom.

The committee supports the educational staff and acts as a liaison between parents, staff, students, synagogue and the community.
